What is the French EPC (DPE)?
The Diagnostic de Performance Énergétique (DPE) is the French Energy Performance Certificate. It is mandatory for any home or commercial property that is sold or rented in France. The certificate ranks the property from A (best) to G (worst) on both energy consumption and greenhouse-gas emissions, and is valid for ten years.
Only diagnosticians certified by an accredited body (COFRAC) and covered by professional liability insurance can issue a legally valid DPE. Every professional listed on Reseaudiag.fr is identified by their SIRET number and NAF 7120B activity code, and their certification is verified.
